In the North Mountain preserve, access trail at 36th south of Mountain View. This is hidden near the top of one of the taller peaks, accessed by short but steep trail.
The cache is hidden in an espresso can painted black to blend in. I've put a Livestrong wristband, toy fireman, mardi gras beads, an American Silver Dollar, and a few coins from different parts of the world, along with the logbook and pencil. I love finding caches that provide great exercise and fantastic views, this does both. Not for the weak hearted or clumsy footed, but you don't need to be in peak physical fitness if you take your time. This is my first hide. Thanks to Hal and Kathy for introducing me to geocaching! (There were lots of big bees doing their work on the desert blooming plants, beware if allergic, but they left me alone!)
5/9/2010 Cache Replenished! You know all the good stuff gets taken over time, so I added some more good stuff; cheer band from the Sydney Olympics, another Livestrong bracelet (I bought lots of these), a mini deck of cards, scissors, two American silver dollars - different types (please don't any one cacher take both), some erasers, and a TB.
