Geocache Description:

This cache is just outside Dartington Hall and gardens which was setup on a rundown medievel mansion that was built for John Holand Earl of Huntingdon and half brother to King Richard 11.
Dorothy and leonard Elmhirst brought and renovated the great hall and created the gardens from the 1920's and started what is now a world renown art college.
Each summer the Hall holds the Dartington International summer school and the Ways with words festival with various celebraties and authors making speeches. There are various facilities on site including a cinema ,theatre, art galleries squash courts and a pub restaurant.
There is free parking at the hall so please do not park at the back entrance. Cache and dash doable , parking at your descretion
The back entrance to the gardens is just up the road on the right from the cache.
Entry is free but there is donation box to help maintain the gardens
For a longer walk park at the Cider Press shopping centre down the road on the roundabout.
The container is a small 6" tube.
Sorry no dogs in the grounds but ok at cache site
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE GEOCOINS OR TB'S IN THIS CACHE.

***Please hide so as not visable from upper hole,***
