Geocache Description:

Another in the Black Diamonds series, about coal mining in the East Neuk of Fife.
This mine was situated between the cache site and the Coal Farm just to the south.
The Deep Pit was shown on a 1789 plan and is known to have been around 210ft deep. Just one of a large number of small mine workings in the area.

The cache is a small cylindrical box which is suitable only for small swaps.

Take care when parking as this is a very busy road. There is a small parking area within 100ft of the cache site.
