76-CJ7: Well I guess it's time to put the water on the campfire and call it a night.
Thanks to everyone who made this weekend a very successful event. I can't wait until we all get together again.

I an thinking of having another simular event towards the October/November time frame. But will have to do a bit more planning to accomidate the colder weather.

Geocache Description:

WELCOME

This is the first Geo-Scout Campout Adventure.
We will have a fun filled weekend.

The Event will be on Saturday June 20th.



The official part of the weekend will be the
Saturday night Fellowship Campfire
from 7:00pm to 9:45pm.

Be sure to check out this bookmark while you are in the
Manchester area.

FELLOWSHIP CAMPFIRE
WHERE:
Site 211/213 Greenfield State Park - - NEW SITE

(Look for the site with a pop-up camper, white portable garage, hammocks, etc. probably site 213)

(Kayak Kouple and Us may switch sites to have a buffer between us and the muggle that reserved a site nearby....silly muggle.
Maybe we can convert them????)

WHEN:
June 20th from 7:00pm to 9:45pm
Time may change a bit but will be Saturday night regardless.

WHAT (to bring):
  • A few pieces of firewood to add to the fellowship fire
  • A Chair to relax in.
  • Your favorite beverages (some will be provided)
  • Any snacks you would like to share (some will be provided)
  • Your Singing Voice
  • And most of all yourself

WHO:
Everyone is invited, All Campers and Visitors.
Pets are welcome to visit at site #211/213.

WHY ???
Do you have to ask???

What you can do to help.
Donations of coins, caches, swag, are always welcome to be raffled off throughout the Campfire.
Some might even be for prizes for contests during the event.

UNTIL WHEN:
Quiet time in the park is 10:00pm, All Non-Campers must be out by 9:00pm.

RAFFLE GUIDLINES
  • We will have two buckets
  • BUCKET #1 will have an index card for each of the raffle prizes to be given away.
  • BUCKET #2 will have an index card for each "LOGIN" of the Geocachers in attendance.
  • First Name picked from BUCKET #2 will grab a card from BUCKET #1 then that cachers card will be put back into the bucket.
  • That cacher will pick the next name from BUCKET #2.
  • Then that cacher will pick their prize and return their cacher card back into the bucket.
  • If a cachers card gets picked again then they have the option to "trade in" the card they have for another pick.
  • When all prizes are gone from BUCKET #1 then the game is done.


Tentitive Schedule for the weekend:
  • Friday Evening:
    • Stop by #211/213 for for a crakerbarrel. We will be there early in the day.
    • jynxybabe - Trailuser and I will be happy to contribute some hot dogs for Friday night supper.
    • Kayak Kouple snacks (not sure what yet?)
  • Saturday Breakfast
    • Breakfast will be a free for all since we are all probably have made plans to attend other events in the area.
    • After the nearby morning events I plan to return back to the campsite and hang out. If you are around please come by and visit for a spell.
  • Saturday Supper - 6:00 pm (ish):
    • You are welcome to bring your supper to site #211/213 and join us prior to the actual Event.
    • jynxybabe - Trailuser and I will be happy to contribute a big pot of american chop suey for Saturday night.
    • golden guiders - On Saturday night prior to the event, we will have a pot of turkey chili for all to enyoy at the GG camp next door at 214.
    • britpitts will be bringing a BIG cake to share with everyone.
    • Kayak Kouple Fresh Salad
    • Team Skywalker Asian cole slaw with chix for Sat dinner
    • ChittDirt - Something Meatless
    • Plumb69 - We will make a pot of Macaroni and Cheese
  • Geo-Scout Fellowship Fire. - 7:00pm ish.
    • Please bring your snacks to share. caching Goodies are always welcome for the raffle as well.
    • ChcknLdy - I have nice marshmallow roasting forks and the fixings for s'mores.

  • Sunday Breakfast - 8:00 am (ish):
    • "MAD" Breakfast, See Plumb69's log regarding this below.
    • Plumb69 - We would be willing to help organize what my family calls my "MAD" breakfast Sunday morning. We'll supply the Pancakes and the Hash-browns. If everyone can bring something we could have quite a feast. Please post what you can bring.
    • All are welcome with thier breakfast items at site #211/213.
    • jynxybabe - We will also be happy to contribute eggs and bacon for Sunday breakfast.
    • britpitts We'll also bring some stuff to share at breakfast time on Sunday
    • Kayak Kouple Fresh Salad
    • Team Skywalker We are also bringing fruit
    • Here you can make plans for the rest of the day.
    • ChittDirt - scrambled eggs with cheese or french toast
    • golden guiders - We will bring something sweet and gooey for the Mad breakfeast. (danish, or coffee rolls etc.)


      IF YOU ARE CAMPING - INFO
      • I will be at Site # 211/213 from Friday (19th) to Monday (22nd)
      • Make your own campsite reservation.
      • Please let us know how many will be coming in your "Will Attend" Log.
      • Bring your own gear and food
      • Event Activities will be posted as they get planned.
      • I would suggest you plan early in order to get a site in the same area.
      • Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am.
      • Not all sites can have Pets either staying or visiting.

      • For campers on the day of your departure from your site:
      • You can leave your camper/cars in the main parking lot so you can still enjoy the planned or unplanned activities.
      • For daytime Visitors
      • Guests of registered campers must sign in at the campground office, pay the day-use fee, and may visit in the campground from 7am to 10pm.

      Location: Off Route 136, Forest Rd, Greenfield
      Activities: Camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, picnicking.

      Nearby: Swimming, fishing, and hiking, as well as hiking at nearby Mount Monadnock, are favorite activities of campers at Greenfield State Park and a 900-foot beach for campers only, canoe and kayak rentals, a camp store, a dump station, and showers are available.

      Fees:
      Daytime Use:
      Admission is $4 for adults; $2 for children ages 6-11; children ages 5 and under and NH residents age 65 and over are admitted free.
      Camping: $24 (no hookups). Rates cover two adults and children under 18 on the site. Each additional adult is charged ½ the site fee per person per night. Each additional adult at the cabins is $7 per person per night. The maximum number of adults per site is 4, except in designated areas.

      Reservation Information: Reservations are taken for all state park campgrounds through Reserveamerica, either online or by calling 1-877-nhparks (1-877-647-2757).
      The minimum reservation window is 1 day in advance.
      Reservations must be made for a minimum of 3 days when placing a reservation between Feb. 6th and May 15th.
      Reservations can be made for a minimum of 1 night if reservation is placed after May 15th and for the current camping season.
      Reservations are non-transferable at the park.
      Only the person whose name is on the reservation can check in at the park.

      Pets: Pets are permitted in designated areas such as campsites. Pets must be leashed and supervised at all times and are not permitted on the beaches.
