Three Hundred FiftySixth in the Famous People (FP) Series - Elmo
Elmo is a Muppet on the children's television show Sesame Street. He is a furry red monster with large white eyes and an orange nose.
Some people believe that Elmo's characteristic of referring to himself and others in the third person will teach children improper English usage. In its FAQ, the Sesame Workshop responds to this accusation, stating that this behavior "mimics the behavior of many preschoolers."
In January 2006, controversy surrounded the book with sound Potty Time With Elmo when a mother in Dallas reported that pressing the buttons caused Elmo to say "Who wants to die?" The book's manufacturer said that this was not an isolated claim, and that they'd had several complaints about the book. In fact, Elmo is saying "Who wants to try?" but the low quality of the sound chip makes it difficult to distinguish consonant sounds.
In February 2008, a Lithia, Florida woman claimed an Elmo Knows Your Name doll threatened to kill her son by name. Instead of singing songs or reciting the favorite color of its 2-year-old owner, James Bowman, the doll started making death threats, the family says. With a squeeze of its fuzzy belly, the Sesame Street character now says, in a sing-song voice, "Kill James."
Why it's no wonder that Elmo has such a big cemetery. And you will get to walk around it and see quite a few parts of it when you find this simple multi-stage cache. Remember, all the redirectors are 99.9999% certain to be in place.
