Geocache Description:

This Restin' cache is part of a series that will take you to local cemeteries - places of historic inportance and interest. We introduce you to these cemeteries as a way of exploring our local history, and the people who were early settlers here. While you are visiting, reflect on their lives, and contributions to the communities in which we live today. Please respect their resting place and ensure that extreme care is taken during your visit.

Pine Hill Cemetery opened in 1894 on land donated by Napoleon Howard. It is owned and maintained by the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, and is still in use today. Please note that this Restin' cache is in the cemetery. The farm and horses across the road, while beautiful to see, are being disturbed by cachers wandering a little far afield. Thanks for your consideration.
