Geocache Description:

***An ammo can in a park that is open from dawn to dusk***

Lafayette's McAllister Park has been home to the local Municipal Golf course for many years. Due to flooding issues, it was very costly to keep up. Thus when local developer and owner of the Battleground Golf Club offered to donate his course to the Lafayette Parks Department, it was quickly accepted.

In the spring of 2013, the Municipal course was closed making it a nice location for a geocache if you can find a way to keep it from floating away in a flood. Since it was time to celebrate another Tippecanoe County milestone, Papa decided this would be the place.

Thanks to Ted Bumbleburg and the Lafayette Parks Department for granting permission to place this cache.
