The feature is buried, so many people don't realize that they can
hunt for benchmarks. If you like getting those pretty icons in your profile, logging a benchmark will add a new one to your list of found geocaches (sorry, it won't add to your total caches found). This cache represents a two-for-one. It is located at the
Carlon Benchmark, so when you find one, you'll find the other. (Actually, I'm told that it's a reference mark for the original benchmark at N 45° 21.219 W 122° 46.328, but since geocaching.com calls it a benchmark, I will too.)
Be sure to bring a camera so that you can take a picture of the benchmark and post it when you
log the benchmark.
