Geocache Description:


Open year round, Uchee Creek Army Campground and Marina is located on the southwestern side of Fort Benning. It's a place where trees grow tall and the water of the inviting Chattahoochee River flows deep and cool, where military personnel, DOD civilians, their families and other eligible personnel can spend a weekend or an entire vacation. Our facilities include camping pads, full-service RV sites, an RV rally site, pavilions, log cabins secluded under the shade of Alabama pines, and a wealth of activities for you to enjoy.

This cache can only be found between 9am and 6pm any day of the week.

The cache is not located at the above coordinates. It is however inside the building near the final coordinates which are given at the bottom of this description. You could go see it, touch it, shake it, smell it, but you can't log it until you can find all the numbers to unlock the cache. After you check out the cache, get somthing to drink, a snack or 2 and anything else you might need for your camping trip, head back to the starting coordinates.

At each stage you will find a number. Each number will be used in the combination to unlock the cache.

Stage1 - N32 18.340 W84 57.513
The building number.

Stage2 - N32 18.279 W84 58.026
The second to last digit from the sign on the building.

Stage 3 - N32 18.390 W84 57.641
The pavilion number.

Stage 4 - N32 18.232 W84 57.901
Add all the digits from the chalets.

Final Stage - N32 18.340 W84 57.513
Head back and get the cache.

After you find and log the cache, please relock the cache and return the combination to 0000 when your done.

This cache is hidden with special permission from Uchee Creek Campgrounds and Marina, Fort Benning Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation.
