Traditional Cache near a great beach in SE Spain
Is this really Paradise Beach? The locals seem to think so as it is named Playa Paraiso in Spanish. It is certainly a nice sandy beach on the Mar Menor, a warm inland sea. The beach shelves gently into the sea and the water is still only 1.2m deep almost 100m from the shore. There are no tides and no currents, all of which make it an ideal place for swimming.
Behind the beach are a series of Salinas (salt pans) used to harvest sea salt. These are home to a whole range of Water and Wading Birds, including Flamingoes.
The cache is a small plastic box, placed next the fence between the Salinas and the Beach, near marker post DPMT 066. Please make sure the cache is well hidden when you have finished.
