Geocache Description:

The first in a series planned for bridges on the Walker River.

The Snyder Lane bridge was built in the early 1980s. It replaced an old suspension bridge that is still standing about .25 miles to the south. As you can see, this bridge was designed so that during high water flows, the road to the east would take the majority of the water so that the bridge itself would not be damaged. During the New Year flood of 1997, the roadway was flooded for a few days. This bridge has been extensively used by agricultural traffic since its completion.

Beware of traffic while looking for the cache. Enjoy!
