There is a house nearby so please no night-time caching.
We've long been intrigued by the Milford and Manchester
Railroad that was only in use for a few short years.
This cache is placed near the old railroad bed in Goffstown, NH as it headed north before turning east towards Manchester.
I entered the woods at the Trailhead waypoint. Right before the Trailhead on Addison Road you can see a stretch of the old railroad bed, still owned by the Boston & Maine Railroad. They'd be happy to sell it to you if you would like, since when I asked about it they wanted to know if I was interested in buying the land. :)

The railroad bed is now a Class 6 road in Goffstown (unmaintained) and in places the road/railroad bed has been eroded away so there are one or two sections where you won't be walking on a nice flat path. If you continue on the old road/railroad it eventually intersects Route 114. When I placed the cache I could hear but not see what killed the railroads (although who knows, the railroads might make a comeback :) ).
