#1 Located in Abingdon on a well known walking trail.
The “ Mini Maid Series” will have seventeen card caches and then for the eighteenth cache it will be the Old Maid card herself. I found this small mini deck of cards in a cache while getting a few smileys in Boon, NC in January of 2009. The caches will all be in the same type of container, BB (bottle in a bottle) and most will be hidden the same way. If you find one cache you will know what to look for at the next one, maybe. The FTF gift in each will be a Canadian twenty-five cent coin except for the first one and it is a coin from Nicaragua I picked up on a mission trip. Each card represents someone in the work force or in the community. They will be people just like you and I. Nurse Nell, Labtech Lil, Motorcycle Mike, Waitress Wendy, Labby Lovegreen (tree hugger), Miss Alpha bet, Guitar Gary, Cowhand Cal, Mailman Morris, Fisherman Fred, Quarterback Jack, Hosehauler Harry, Backhand Betty, Tutu Terri, Cookie Connie, Moonwalker Wally, Clown’n Clyde and Miss Old Maid. The placement of the caches will have a direct hint to that cards’ character. Hope we all have fun with this series. I’ll have fun trying to find a place for some of these characters and hopefully you will have fun by looking for the reason I planted them in that particular place. I don’t think I will give many hints because yall are so good already at picking off my caches. This will be your hint for the series,”Have you planted your spring bulbs yet?”
As you are walking around this trail just past the 1/8 mile marker you will come to an exercise station with descriptions on stretching the correct way so you won’t cause damage to muscle or joints while trying to stay healthy. The cache is close by this area. You don’t have to walk 1/8 of a mile if you use the lower end of the parking lot when you pull in. The electrical lines caused some grief for my Garmin and I was only able to get a 12 ft average. If it’s day light when you drive in you will notice where Betty hangs out or if you walk all the way around the trail you will be right beside her TC.
BYOP and watch those muggles. Place everything back as you found it for the slower ones. ? Sorry NO pets allowed on the trail. It won’t take you long so they will be OK in your vehicle.
