Geocache Description:

This is one of 11 caches placed for the Cache Across Maryland 2009 event.

The Conquest Preserve is a 758 acre recreational facility between the Corsica and Chester Rivers. The scenic Chester River provides a beautiful and tranquil background for area.

Park Rules: Please yield to all equine hikers if you encounter any on the trail.
Park hours are sunrise to sunset
Don't park or ride on the grass
No vehicles or bikes on the trail
Do not walk through fields. Instead, go through the woods or hike the oystershell trail to the cache.
Visit www.qac.org for more information.

Interim Waypoint N 39 deg. 05.812' / W076 deg. 07.012'

To find your way to this cache, begin making your way down the oyster shell trail all the while aiming your GPSr at the "Interim Waypoint". Walk straight into the wooded area. Eventually you will emerge from the wooded area and should be able to easily locate the Interim Waypoint near the end of the oystershell trail.

Use the interim waypoint as your point-of-entry into the low brush and brambles on your way to the final Cache location.

NOTE: The best strategy to get to the container is to take a route of least resistance - if you take your time you should be able to avoid most of the briers- and you should also be able to keep your feet dry. A brute-force approach is not the best option here!

Once at the cache, take a moment to soak in the beautiful Chester River views - but please do not venture any closer to the water since the area is environmentally sensitive.
