The River City Geocaching and Dining Society (RCGDS) and jerryw38 invite you to the 4th annual event at Micke Grove.
Note: The event will be held on the 3rd Saturday of April-April 18th as Easter Weekend is the 2nd Sat.
We are celebrating the Haight-Ashbury Hippies era of the late 1960's. Best known for the Summer of Love (1967). Please dress the part if u can. Especially Tied-dyed shirts. Bright shirts also acceptable. The brighter-the better. Pictures will be taken from the new bridge over the lake.
We have the same covered area as the last three years.that will seat over 200. There is a major childrens play area and restrooms near the event.
The new Lake area at the north end of the park allows us to place some new caches.
The club will provide the standaerd name tags, plates, and etc.
PLEASE BRING :
1. A potluck dish (your choice).
2. A BBQ will be provided for those that want to cook.
3. Your own drinks
4. RAFFLE ITEMS
5. MONEY for the 50-50 drawing.
TIMETABLE:
10-Noon -- Caching and Social Time
Noon to I pm -- Lunch
1:00 to 1:30 -- Meeting and Drawing
1:30 to 3:00 -- Games and Etc. (See Below)
There will be a contest using the "Leatherman Multitool". Your tool will need a minimum of a phillips screw driver, pliers/cutters, and a knife blade. Of coursr the more tools, the more fun. Geokitebuggy will provide the materials for this challenge.
There will be 36 plastic tied dyed kites to be put together and flown if there is enough wind.
