The Second Sentinel (Auckland) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TheCur8or: As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This cache is a memorial to the site where I discovered geocaching a few years ago, at the long since removed (muggled??) "Sentinel On The Sea".
Those of you who found the last cache should have no problems with this, as it is very similar.

There are two ways to get to this cache, you can come from the north or south. Either way you are going to need a boat, kayak, or sweet swimming abilities! When you post your find, let me know what side you came from and

Please check weather forecasts before attempting this cache, even on relatively calm days the wind and waves can be enough to have you asking yourself "Why am I doing this!?!"
I have given this a terrain rating of 4 because of the work involved in getting there (and presumably getting back again after). The difficulty of 2.5 is because once you actually get to the island you will probably be too tired to drag yourself up the beach to begin looking!
Please remember to place the cache back in an equally or more secure way so that it doesnt fall to the elements...

Happy hunting =)
