2009 CITO!
8AM until…
The time has come again to
get ready for another exciting CITO!!!! (Cache In Thash Out) This
year we have found yet another spot that is in desperate need of
help. Thanks to The White Dragon Clan
for finding this. We will meet at City
Lake Park in Jamestown, NC. I have met
with the park crew and they have graciously accepted out offer to
help and donated Shelter #5. The listed
coordinates are close to the shelter.
The event itself is about 1/10 of a mile away from the posted
coordinates. So bring wheelbarrows,
good walking shoes and a strong back!
Please note… we need to remember all
HAZARDOUS WASTE must be separated from regular trash!!!! That
includes oil containers, antifreeze containers, anything chemical,
etc. We are only saying this after last
years “small oversight”.
Plans are in place to
grill out after the trash pick-up and even more fun to possibly
follow!!! Please check back for more details as the date come
closer. See you there and let’s give
back to the community that so graciously provides all of us with a
nice place to hunt!
Please note – the main
trash pick-up area is more of a “two” difficulty.
The “one” difficulty is for the picnic
area where we all meet. I assure you
there is trash in that area as well that could be picked up should
you have any limitations.
UPDATE!!!!!
As we all know, times are tough
and getting donations from businesses is not very fruitful this
year. Sooooo, I thought it may be fun to do a
"potluck
prize" drawing. How do we do this? If everyone
could bring at least one prize to be given away at our drawing,
then we can all be winners. The prize can be cache related,
cash related (mmmmmm cash) or just plain random. In fact,
there may be opportunity for some good laughs to be had by doing
this. Please do not bring me a bag of trash or similar
objects as a prize. (I am one step ahead of some of
you!)
