Crime, Dame Agatha, published some 80 novels, several West End
theatre plays, and numerous short stories. Her play, The
Mousetrap, holds the record for the longest initial run (opening in
1952, still running in 2009, more than 23,000 performances) and
most of her books and short stories have become films (many several
times over) and have been adapted for television, radio, video
games and even comic books.
