Denna cachen gömdes i samband med Christianstad Caching 2009.
Södra dämmet är ett av de ställen som hindrar
Christianstad från att svämmas över när
snön smälter oppe i Småland. Efter
översvämningen 2002 gjordes ordentliga
förbättringar på stadens invallning. Här kan
man med hjälp av tre stora pumpar se till att kanalen aldrig
når en vattennivå över (eller under) en viss
gräns.
Här finns också en gammal hissanordning till den
uppfällbara bro som en gång fanns här kvar. Som ett
minne från en tid då man kunde åka med höga
båtar ända in i staden på kanalen.

The southern dam is one of the places that prevents Christianstad
from being flooded when the snow melts up in Småland. Ater
the flood in 2002 great enhancements on the city's embankments were
made. Here you can, by the help of three big pumps, make sure that
the water of the channel never rises above (or sinks below) a
certain level.
You can also see an old device that were used to raise the bridge
that once was here, as a memory from the days when you could go all
the way in to town with high ships.
