The deck of cards can be Hot (a winner for the casino) OR cold (a winner for you). When we both dealt in Tahoe and had a single deck, just a "little" change of the shuffle would hopefully make the deck hot or cold, sometimes it just doesn't matter, you are lucky no matter.
