A
cache and dash or is it?
At the listing co-ordinates you will find yourself in the middle
of a huge car park in West Bromwich opposite the Police
Station.
The cache is right there but will you be able to retrieve it
without attracting attention? Hence the difficulty.
Although the terrain is wheelchair friendly, wheelchair users will
need help to retrieve the cache.
The name of the cache refers to a mountaineering club
which could change your life!
West Bromwich Mountaineering Club is a friendly club with around
250 members (aged from 6 months to 85 years) mainly drawn from a 25
mile radius of West Bromwich. Its members travel the globe having
fun and climbing peaks and It runs monthly coach trips to the UK
hills(normally to the Lake District or Snowdonia). One of the great
things about this is that you do NOT have to be a member to book a
seat and have a cheap day out in wonderful scenery and nobody woulf
force you to do a hard walk or peak.
It also organises hostel and bothy weekends, European trips in
summer and a winter week in Scotland. The club has it’s own hut in
Nantgwynant with all mod cons and organises and navigation skills
and family weekends there several times each year.
It meets every Thursday at “The Globe”, Reform St. West Bromwich
from 9pm (-ish) onwards. See www.wbmc.org for details of meets
