SWC - Anchor Traditional Cache

Please delete this a: This cache has not been found since January 2012. (Not Good???) I will try to get it replaced by the end of this year but as it has been temperaly disabled for nearly half a year I thought that I should archive it. I can also ask the reviewer to unarchive it once I get round to replacing it. Thanks for the lovely logs!!!

Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of 11 caches. Cache located near the former Anchor Hotel in Kinver. Not far from the the river Stour and Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal

The Anchor Hotel (DY7 6NR) dates from the 15th Century. I think it was originally cottages that were converted into an inn and recently converted back into houses. The remains of a mill are hidden in undergrowth between the nearby river & canal. More history will follow soon!

The cache is located just off a footpath near the Anchor. Parking is potentially available right by the cache BUT it is best to park further up Dark Lane in the residential area near Redwood Road and Hawthorne Way. Alternatively you can approach from the Whittington Inn on the Kidderminster - Wolverhampton Road.
