Geocache Description:

This is a new series to welcome everyone to L.A. (Lower Arkansas) and particularly Union County. All the caches are near (or on) the geographical boundary of Union County. Every time someone asks, "Where are you from?" I tell them El Dorado or Union County and they know just as much then as they did before they ever asked. Then I got into the habit of telling them "Lower Arkansas" that over time has shortened to "L.A." As of this post there are only a few serious cachers in Union County so I wanted to welcome the cachers from other areas to Union County and what better way to welcome them than a smiley at the county line. This is an area where 5 separate roads join. It is included when giving directions to anyone in the area. "Go to 5 points and go....." When I worked as a Deputy Sheriff this is the area you went when looking for those of the population that can't/won't drive on the main roads for various reasons. You are looking for a "baby soda" container. Thank you for the interest in our caches.
