Geocache Description:


The Glass House, as it's known to the locals, has been a landmark since before I was born. It used to boast a second story. A short wooden ladder climb and you could gaze down at people on the deck below sharing the view. I fondly remember picnics here as a child waiting for the day I’d be old enough to climb the ladder without assistance.
Around twenty years ago, the second story was removed. The glass was replaced by plexi-glass for a while and then later removed altogether. It took something special away from it for some of us. It still holds a certain magic.
Harbor Vista Campground has a small park with swing sets and a sizeable lawn. The Glass House is not quite a house. It has a viewing area that blocks you from the usually chilly Pacific winds. It’s a lovely locale for watching the sun set or for a nice picnic.

Please replace in like or better position so it stays "camouflaged."

Bonus: Further into the campground is a nice picnic area with a trail that leads down to the beach and north jetty (Low-tide is a good time for exploration there.)
