Geocache Description:

This series was created to show off the beautiful/unique areas along scenic Route 55 in New York. Hopefully this will lure people down from the Catskills to the caches along the Delaware River Valley, as well as bring people from the river up into the Catskills. So far there are 4 caches. This leaves PLENTY of available space for people to add upon the series. If you would like to place a cache with the title "Route 55 Series - "Your name of cache here", please email me so I can add it to the list of caches!

This cache is a small lock n lock inside of a really nice old cemetery in the town of Eldred, NY. Take a walk around and notice how many headstones have fallen over. It's quite a site. Once you find the cache, please make sure that it is covered up properly when you leave. The cache is not located near or at a gravestone and please be respectful of those who were laid to rest here. Please do not attempt this one at night.

Caches in the Route 55 Series:
"The Old Aquaduct"
"The Cemetery that Once Was"
"Detour to Lake Superior"
"Swan Lake"
