Geocache Description:

One of two caches placed near abandoned buildings hidden in forestry land along the Upper Shannon.

Toomna Church is located in the middle of a wood near Battlebridge on the Roscommon Leitrim border. It was in use as a place of Worship up until the mid-eighties, and the graveyard is still in use today.

The church was ransacked by thieves in the early nineties, and the lead from the roof, altar rails and anything else of value was taken.
