This cache is part of the Northwest Crossing Series – caches designed to get people into the neighborhood to see what Northwest Crossing has to offer. Incorporated in 1980 with nearly 4,000 homes, NWC is larger than over 85 percent of Texas’ 1,500 cities or towns, and has within its boundaries four elementary schools, two swimming pools, two clubhouses, two nature parks, and a sports complex.
This cache is located at one end of the community sports complex and was placed with permission of the Board of Directors.
At these fields, the association hosts two soccer seasons for the community’s children ages 4 to 12. Up to six teams in each of four age groups practice once a week and play on Saturdays from March to May and September to November. The sports complex also has a backstop which allows for pick-up tee-ball, baseball, or softball games. Don't try this cache on Saturday mornings during the soccer seasons...the parking lot is jammed!
While the facility is for members of the homeowner’s association, this cache is not located on the property. You can park your car in the parking lot and walk to the cache location. For a look at the fields from a different angle, check out part Sports Complex 2.
