Each morning, I walk up this hill to head to Chatswood Station. It's so steep, that we've nicknamed the hill Mount Vesuvius.

The thoroughfare is popular with students from the nearby Chatswood High School because they can hide 'downhill' from the school, hanging out with friends and having a quick smoke away from the watchful eye of teachers. So, try and avoid visiting immediately before/after school hours!
The grass and weeds in the thoroughfare tend to grow pretty tall, and then the council comes through periodically and mows it all back.
The council recently improved the ecology of the thoroughfare, the cornerstone of which is a landscaped area with saplings and weed mat, surrounded by carefully cut logs. Personally, I think the area was too steep for them to mow, so they just planted it instead!
