Geocache Description:

To arrive at this cache one will have to leave the pavement and journey about 1/3 of a mile on a well maintained rock road

Medium cammo'd plastic container, log, pencil and SWAG.

The Elliott State Forest is 96,000 acres of state managed timberland. It was Oregon's first state forest and came into being in 1930 and is named for Oregon's first forester, Francis Elliott.

This particular piece of ground burned totally up in 1868. Half of "the Elliott" has never been touched by timber harvest and the trees are from 120 to 140 years in age and many stand 200 feet tall.

Two small creeks have a meeting of the minds and you will have to get above this to find this cache. Although you'll not get any syrup from this tree, there are forks involved.
