Geocache Description:

This is an easy multi-cache in a little park with two ponds and two waterfalls on the Belmont/Waltham town line. There is a fairly obvious parking lot on Mill St.

At the posted coordinates you will see an object that, surprisingly, says "thanks for the cache!" (in its own way). Note the 3-digit number right above that greeting (the number is between two letters), call that number A and get the coordinates for the actual cache as follows:

N 42° 23.xxx
W 71° 11.yyy

where

xxx = A - 14
yyy = A + 277

Note there is no need to do anything dangerous to get to the cache - my 5-year-old was able to get to the spot on his own (if your GPS suggests otherwise, you either have the wrong coordinates, or your GPS is off). Please make sure to replace the cache in such a way that it can't be seen too easily.

The area used to be quite buggy in the spring, but this year seems to have been not as bad. There is a lot of poison ivy growing in the area this year, so be careful. You should be able to get to the cache without getting any of it on you. While I hope the cache will be accessible year-round, it may not be accessible in icy conditions or after heavy snowfall.
