Urban grab-and-go alongside Route 9.
This cache is placed in accordance with redrumNYHC's FTF challenge:
"The series is designed to challenge cachers to put out more urban caches. If every FTF follows suit, you can expect a new urban hide every week!
For this cache's FTF I challenge you to put out an urban/grab and go hide in the area within 7 days of your find. If and when you place the cache you should name it- FTF Challenge "your geocaching name" and issue the same challenge as I have.
This is not a requirement to log the cache but if I were you I would rather be known as a giver and not a taker."
I tried to adhere to the requirement for a grab-and-go urban cache, yet still place it somewhere cachers might find at least somewhat worthwhile visiting. I was hoping to find a spot outside the Route 9 corridor, but it wound up about as close to Route 9 as you can get without standing in the median. For this reason, this might not be a good cache to do with very young children.
DO NOT STOP ON ROUTE 9 to visit this cache. The parking lot for the nearby restaurant and auto parts store will put you within a few feet of the cache (if you get a good parking spot).
The container is a black bison tube. This cache is snow friendly only to a depth of a few inches.
5/8/09 Added a hint due to apparent GPSr inaccuracy at GZ.
