Wearing of the Green Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

rtmyss: Made the visit to the cache site and found only the camo bag that covered the cache. Lots of trees in the area were recently tagged, so it looks like there may be more muggle activity here in the future. The cache has had a good run, time to open the space for someone else.

Geocache Description:

This is the third of a planned series of holiday/ seasonal themed caches in the area. This one is a double commemoration--St. Patrick’s Day and my birthday.

I was strolling through the woods when I was startled by a strange little man who demanded, “What are you doing?” “Looking for treasure,” I replied. He became very agitated and muttered something about “a pot of gold.” I explained I was in search of ammo cans and Tupperware filled with geoswag and geocoins and also for a place to hide my own treasure box. He relaxed, then laughed and danced a jig. “I’ll help ye,” he said. He led me to a secret place where I hid a box filled with items relating to Ireland, St. Patrick’s Day, or are, at least, very green. I used two different GPS units and averaged for a while, but some Leprechaun magic might make the coordinates dance their own jig, so the hint is fairly specific.
