Geocache Description:

A fairly easy cache in Mitchell County Kansas

Fair Weather Cache

This is a fair weather cache because both the road and the trail which can be driven to the site are dirt. Do not attempt to travel them after rains or thaws with or without 4WD vehicles. The area residents, including myself, do not appreciate torn up country byways. The walk west then south from the intersection of well graveled 230 road and J road is about half a mile one way if you are willing and the weather uncooperative. The cache can be found without walking on any graves of even in the cemetery, so the squeamish have nothing to fear. You are looking for a camoed tube containing a small log and FTF certificate.

The view from Honey Creek Cemetery is wide. To the north the breadth of the Solomon Valley opens up, and southwest the distant Blue Hills are visible. Glen Elder Dam and floodgates can be seen to the northwest.

The souls at rest here include my ancestors, the Andersons. I believe their spirits and others interred at Honey Creek will appreciate your visit. Wouldn't you?

Please CITO and treat the site with all due respect.
