Geocache Description:

Second in a series of caches around Halfpenny.
This round of caches is good for kids with fords, tree swings easy gradients and lots to see and do with a moderate quantity of soft ground in damp weather so good footwear required.

On the left, some 300 meters up the road, take a broad path that forks left down to an ancient Ford over the beck with a footbridge a little upstream for those conventionally shod.

Follow the path uphill and before the first house on the right the finger post for the public footpath is missing, flattened in the field but the strange stile leads to a path crossing behind the houses and back down the hill to another quiet byway where you turn right for High House farm. Two further footpaths join this lane on the left, one from the pub car park at Barrows Green, the other from the foot of the Helm, handy if you are combining these caches with the Lord of the Rings trilogy of (now 11!) caches hidden up there! Continue along this road till you cross the cattle grid where you turn sharp right down the field to another footbridge over St Sundays beck.
