Geocache Description:

A short walk is involved. Bring your caching toolkit with you, as some wire may prove helpful.

My Old Flame is a new container for me, a soda bottle preform. This is another cache in the Historic Lubbock series. This open area used to be a landfill many years ago. It was then closed and was the home for a miniature golf course. It’s been vacant for the past several years. One reason could be it has several methane monitors on it. The large brick structure by the road is a gas flare that burns off the excess methane as it collects. It gives off an eerie glow at night – sort of like a giant nightlight for the neighborhood. Watch out for muggles pumping up nearby and there may be some interference due to the metal in the area. Don't get burned by this one!
