This cache is in the Tararua Forest Park along the Loop Track which is accessed from Holdsworth. It is a popular area for camping, picnicking and bush walks. Holdsworth is reached by turning off SH2 into Norfolk Road, 2km South of Masterton. Approx 10km from SH2 Norfolk Road leads into Mt Holdsworth Road. Holdsworth is a further 5km, at the end of Mt Holdsworth Road.
Please keep to the tracks. The whole walk should take around an hour return from the carpark. The cache is just off the track. GPS coverage may be patchy due to the forest canopy. If this is the case use the hints below.
