Geocache Description:

Little do people know that their refreshment dates back to the 6th millennium BC.

This beach weather puts us in the mood to grab a cold one so let's get hopping. Nice little pub just north of me so stopped in for a cold one. Who do I find there but my racquetball cutthroat friends so I buy us a round cold ones that since 2005 comes from Federation Brewery in Gateshead. Knowing we have a game tomorrow we made the next round lighter so we followed that up with round of light ones names for a Bohemian village near Saaz and I bid them farewell.

After spacing out a minute at the door I noticed a co-worker walking into the place across the street so off I trotted. Chatting about work we each had a cold one who’s rights are owned by France's Pelforth Beer Company and followed that up with a beer each, which is the sponsor for the MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi. Work talk always seems to bring this on and having had a tough week, I had a cold stout from San Quentin while he talked about Alaska and quickly downed a famous beer from 67th independent brewery in the country. His dinner arrived so off I went.

Walking down the sidewalk I heard a crowd and saw a big gathering at the pavilion as the sun started settling like a little bright dot above the Gulf waters. The sun set always attracts a good crowd. Reminded me of that day back in 1773 when the Sons of Liberty had fun tossing that aromatic beverage in the water. Made me crave a beer by that same cities name and wondered if Jim Koch would send a hundred of them our way. That would hit the spot! Walked along the dunes watching the sunset while sharing a third of a dozen premium pilsners from the brewery that was first operated by Willem Neerfeldt and as many beers with drinkability as most people have fingers. Wow, what a sunset!

After the last little speck of sun settled in the west, off I went to see what the beach scene was like after dark. The first spot I stopped in I ran across the final group of basketball players that were on the court during playoff game today celebrating their win. So I bought then three rounds of a pale lager from Brazil that was globally launched in 2004 while I enjoyed a couple of official beers of the Buffalo Bills. With the next game tomorrow, they were on their way.

Enjoy the space they left in the booth for a second, I decided the night was young so I started out. Just as I was leaving, in walks the rest of my old bobsled team so back to the booth I went. We shared a cold one each, who’s brewery used to be partially owned by Thomas May and then snagged a half a dozen lagers from Missouri that one I could of done without. Although from the largest market share brewery in America, this one should add one more 6 to its name to tell us not to drink the sign of the devil. Ugh. They were ordering dinner so off I went amazed at how bright those little dots of light in the sky were lighting up the waves.

One more stop before the night ends as just down the road is where my old hockey team used to go and amazing as it sounds, I found the same teammates inside that were on the ice with me for the last game of the season. In cheer we shared a couple rounds of Plank Road Brewery's favorite pooch, then we read “Nature's choicest products provide its prized flavor” on the labels of the next round and topped it off with a round of beer with a horse’s head and the number 33 for some odd reason. Ah, what a night of celebration.

This is a micro cache, the puzzle is the tricky part. So when you solve the puzzle and head out, you might want to celebrate your find with a new boat or a new car or maybe just a smile, but remember to bring your own pen.

Enjoy,
