While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

(This reviewer note is in English so non-Norwegian cache owners, geocachers and cache reviewers can understand what it says.)

Det sies at det bitte lille posthuset i Langangen, var det som ble ranet først i Norge.

Pepper Huset


blir det kalt, for det ble brukt pepper under ranet.

Historien til posthuset i Langangen er lang, men fra 1.12.1964 var det Karin Fliid som ble poståpner. Hun fikk bygget et lite hus over garasjen. Dette poståpneriet ble imidlertid ranet i 1967.
Den 8.6.1978 ble poståpneriet flyttet til den plassen det opprinnelig var tenkt lagt i 1877, nemlig Sundvolden.
Posthuset i Langangen er nå nedlagt.

The Pepper House
is it called, because it was used pepper-spray during the robbery.

The history of post-office in Langangen is long, but from 1.12.1964 Karin Fliid was boss at the office. She had built a small house over the garage.
This Post-office was, however, robbed in 1967. The 8.6.1978 the post-office was moved to the place original planned in 1877, namely Sundvolden. Posthuset in Langangen is now closed.

Cachen ligger litt vekk fra det gamle posthuset, men vi anbefaler at du tar en titt, det ligger rett rundt svingen.
The cache is located a little away from the old post-office, but we recommend that you take a look, it is just around the bend.
