Geocache Description:

The cache contains a log book with a message from the Griffith family. It appears the Griffiths must have hidden this cache while traveling and when they returned home, the cache could not be published because there was an existing cache 30 feet away. They were not aware of this other cache because it was the last stage of a multi. The multi has since been archived and the space is open again for a cache.

I tried to determine who the Griffith family is by reviewing all the logs in the area for the dates around August 25, 2008 which is the date it was hidden. My search came up empty and I decided it wouldn’t make sense to waste a new cache so I had it published.

Garyp47 actually found this cache by accident on February 26, 2009 before it was published and was the first to sign the log on this date so the official FTF goes to him.

If anyone knows who the Griffith family is, please put the info in a log or e mail Garyp47. If we can find them, I will let them adopt the cache or archive it so they could publish it.
