Thanks to last logged finders who notified us of the recent tree felling .
Lastly ,but not leastly ,thanks to the tree feller from whom we later heard had found this cache when felling the trees here and rehide it for us behind one of the very few trees left standing.[:)]

Geocache Description:

A walk in White Sheet Plantation,north east of Wimborne,Dorset. Pines in and around parking co-ords, but the routes to cache soon leads to open scenery . Distance of walk about 1.3 Km each way from parking co-ords along gravel route option .Not sure if the texture of the gravel track would make this a comfortable buggy ride .

Cache placed with the knowledge of the Forestry Commission and in accordance with the Forestry Commission East Dorset Permit. Agreement. GAGB Agreement
N.B. as part of this agreement it is not permitted to seek this cache during the hours of darkness.

Parking co-ords N 50.49.932 W 001.55.956 for free parking in Forestry Commission White Sheet Hill car park, along gravel track off sharp bend in road by white bungalow .
White Sheet Plantation is situated at South edge Holt heath .
Holt Heath was cleared during neolithic period bronze age for stock grazing. During 2008 there was 60 hectares of conifer, scrub and gorse cleared from in Southern edge of White Sheet Plantation to add to the open areas that were already there in plantation.A large proportion of Whitesheet is SSSI as part of Holt and West Moors Heaths SSSI, which is designated for its heathland plant communities and the rare species which are associated with these habitats.
Popular area with dog walkers late afternoon/early evening .
Ponies sometimes shelter in pines around cache area .May need to watch where you step .

Two routes to cache from parking co-ords .
(1)Driest route is from the 5 bar gates at far end of car park, at parking co-ords .Enter gates and follow gravel track down and along before turning left nearer cache area .
(2)Other route starts from single wooden bar gate at far end of car park co-ords .Route goes along narrow rutted path outside of fence down to 5 bar gate on right ,through gate,then along ,round and down to cache area .Several muddy sections on route,but a better route for those who prefer not to walk along gravel tracks.

Finding the container
There is a pre-existing animal trail leading into pines close to the cache location for ease of access . The hint is quite long and expilicit to guide seekers to the cache without undue disturbance to it's surroundings ,and to enable the container to be left discreetly concealed.
We always use hints as a first resort when seeking caches and are more than happy if seekers to this cache do likewise . .
Please leave container fully covered with pine needles . Then mark spot with just a couple of twigs .
Cache is a 1.1 litre Klip and Lock container camouflaged black with geo cache harmless label..
