This is a continuation of the Arthurian tetra-caches. Collect a trinket here in the series.
Begin at the EBMUD Chabot Staging Area on Redwood Road near Castro Valley near Willow Park Golf Course. An inexpensive EBMUD Trail Use Permit is required and obtainable online or at various EBMUD locations. Check the EBMUD website under recreation.
Start on Ramage Peak Trail. At the fork, go east up the Bay Area Ridge Trail (BART). Rating based upon this approach.
A closer approach exists by entering the BART on 6597/6605 Bellhurst Lane, Castro Valley. Controvery exists as to whether use of the large driveway is an authorized entrance to the BART. Sign says no, but some say this is a legal right of way or easement to the BART. The BART continues thru the pasture gate, thru the large horse pasture, out the back gate, on a trail thru brush, a left at the fork, and thru a third gate marked EBMUD. The horses are mellow, but the neighbor fenced dogs are not. Consult a map and laywer as to this approach.
