FOURTH POND FALLS Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Chickadee Girl: This area could use some new caches. It's a part of Denman but I have never seen anyone here checking for day permits.

Geocache Description:

Eight-inch cookie tin in Denman Wildlife Area with off-street parking. BYOP. Congratulations to POP86 for the FTF.

This is the fourth pond in a series beginning south with the pond nearest Kaufman Road. It appears beaver have blocked this dip and caused a little falls here. The overflow continues through Tou Velle State Park to the Rogue River. You may see a jackrabbit or a raptor perched to watch for movement in the grass. Resist the urge to cross-country and follow the road straight to a pond to pick up the trail. I think very few people have used this area, but the deer leave lots of tracks. Notice how many kinds of ducks are on the pond when you arrive.
