Geocache Description:


This old mill was built in 1750, was out of operation for awhile, but now is operational again. It is open to the public (hours as posted) and has a very nice gift shop. The house behind the mill dates from late 1700's; the front section was added in 1898. The mill is listed on both the VA and National Historic Landmark Registers. Also in sight is an herb farm (private) and a yarn shop (open to the public) is less than 1/2 mile down the road. We have no interest in these businesses but the location is so beautiful we thought there should be a cache here. Cache is not on private property. BYOP

06/21/18 - Unfortunately, the yarn shop is now closed.
