Schloss Engers Multi-Cache
illele: Vor der Umzäunung von Schloss Engers wurden alle Gehölze entfernt. Es sieht so aus, als sei die gesamte Umzäunung frisch gestrichen worden. Dieser Maßnahme fiel die Dose zum Opfer.
Deshalb archiviere ich den Cache. Er besteht jetzt schon seit 16 Jahren. Da darf wirklich mal was Neues hin. Ich bedanke mich bei allen Cachern, die diesen Cache gesucht und gefunden haben.

Schloss Engers wurde von dem Trierer Erzbischof und Kurfürst Johann Philipp von Walderdorff in der Zeit von 1759 -1764 als Jagd- und Sommerschloss errichtet. Der Bau erfolgte nach Plänen von Johannes Seiz, einem Schüler von Balthasar Neumann.

Das sehr sehenswerte und gut erhaltene Schloss wird heute vielfätig genutzt, z. B. Für Konzerte der „Villa Musica“ in dem prächtigen Dianasaal, oder für Kunstausstellungen z. B. vom „Kunstkreis 75 Engers“, alljährlich während der Pfingstage und für viele andere Veranstaltungen.

Engers Castle was built by the archbishop of Trier and elector John Philipp of Walderdorff in 1759 – 1764 as a huntinglodge and summerresidence. It was planned by Johannes Seiz, a student of Balthasar Neumann.

Nowadays Engers Castle is used for several purposes such as concerts of „Villa Musica“ in the splendid Diana Ballroom, art exhibitions for example by „Kunstkreis 75 Engers“ during the days of Whitsuntide every year, and many other events.
