Welkom rond het natuurreservaat "Zavelenberg", waarlangs de laatste Brusselse landbouwer nog actief was (Boer Theo overleed in de zomer van 2018). Welcome at the Brussels nature reserve "Zavelenberg", where Brussels last farmer was still active (Sadly Farmer Theo passed away in the summer of 2018)!
In de middeleeuwen was deze locatie een plaats waar er Balegemse zandsteen werd ontgonnen. De naam "Zavelenberg" kan hieruit verklaard worden. De cache-naam "Zavelberg" is echter de naam van de aanpalende basisschool waar ik zelf werkzaam ben. During the dark ages, this location used to be a sandstone mine from where the name "Zavelenberg" can be explained. The cache-name "Zavelberg" however is the name of the school where I'm working and which also lies in this location. Deze korte (2km) multi-cache brengt je langs 7 waypoints tot bij de stash en loopt ook een stukje langs "de groene wandeling", een wandeling van ongeveer 65km rond de hoofdstad (zie info bij WP1) This short multi brings you over 7 waypoints to the stash and also takes you on a short part of a big 65km walk around Brussels called "de groene wandeling". (Check info at WP1!) Bovenstaande coördinaten brengen je langsheen de keizer Karellaan op een parkeerstrook! Vandaar ga je naar WP1 op de volgende coördinaten : N50°52.299' en E004°17.885' Above coords lead you to the parkingstrip along the Keizer Karellaan. From there you'll have to go to WP1 at N50°52.299' en E004°17.885' ! Bij elk WP zoek je een tag met coördinaten voor het volgende waypoint! At every WP you need to look out for a tag with coords for the next WP! Aan het eindpunt neem je best de stash discreet en log je hem op discrete wijze enkele 10 tallen meters verder tussen de bomen. At the final, better take the stash stealthily and log it some distance further in cover of the trees! Veel geluk, Good luck! UPDATE SITUATIE! WP7 is momenteel niet meer toegankelijk!! Gelieve bij de gevonden coördinaten van WP7 de volgende bewerkingen uit te voeren die je direct naar de stash leiden : N - 108 en E + 80! At the moment WP7 cannot be reached! So when you have the coörds of WP7 do the following : N - 108 en E + 80!
