7/26/10: Road work is completed & new bike lane has been added to shoulder - please be careful when pulling on and off highway.
Caches along a scenic drive from North Scottsdale to Rio Verde placed with our friends, SrLadyBug. This area is lush desert with beautiful horse farms, several golf courses, Four Peaks off to the east and the McDowells to the south where you can see the Tom Thumb formation.
Parking available along roadside, however, the road can be very busy, so take care. Log only – bring pencil. No need to go on private property. As always, watch out for snakes, scorpions, thorns, cactus and other desert hazards.
