7/26/10: Road work is completed & new bike lane has been added to shoulder. Turn onto 174th St for safe access to GZ & please be careful when pulling on and off highway. New container, moved to new location & coords changed.
Caches along a scenic drive from North Scottsdale to Rio Verde placed with our friends, SrLadyBug. This area is lush desert with beautiful horse farms, several golf courses, Four Peaks off to the east and the McDowells to the south where you can see the Tom Thumb formation.
Park on 174th for safe access to GZ. The highway can be very busy, so take care. Log only – bring pencil. No need to go on private property. As always, watch out for snakes, scorpions, thorns, cactus and other desert hazards.
