Geocache Description:

Not in the fenced in area...parking on side of road

When I first started working for the company..I was told of this site since we provided services to it. I couldn't believe that it was an actual working Minuteman radar installation. In fact my co-workers at the time said there were Minuteman silo's with warheads ready northeast of Northfield and actually drove me to the site. Both have long been abandoned by the goverment...in fact at the cache location you will notice the radar laying along the side of the building and everything is over grown with weeds...the building is still there...but barely. It's fenced in and the gate is open...but I advise you not to go in..I think it now is owned by the local propery owner.
