Cache is located in a level area with easy terrain.
Container is a small Bison Tube.
Parking not a problem but muggle traffic can be busy at times.
This is #25 in our "WEIRD SC" Series which will consist of caches placed at locations where either ghosts, unknown creatures, or just plain weird things have occurred or exist.
We think our State Motto should change to "Smiling Faces, Haunted Places".
If you head out to the far side of Sumter County, about 4/10's of a mile from the Sumter/Clarendon County Line this cache will be there for you. But if you do so at night, and venture that 4/10's of a mile down Old Stone Road to the County line you might get MORE than just a "Smiley".
It seems that back in the 1960's a pair of boys from nearby Paxville were drag racing on a hot summer night. The area where the County Line is was the Finish Line for their illicit driving.
According to locals the two boys lost control of their cars and hit trees, killing both in a fiery blaze.
Several locals since have reported seeing flames in the area from a distance but upon arrival there is nothing there.
Others report seeing two spectral cars racing side by side that soon disapear upon reaching the line.
Aries didn't see a thing when he was checking out the area.
But then he was there in the daylight!
