Geocache Description:

The All Saints Church was built in 1915 as a memorial chapel to the late Robert M Collins, a local pastoralist, by his family. Mr Collins is buried in church's cemetary.

The church was the last of six churches designed by architect Robin S Dods, and worked commenced in August 1914 and was completed and dedicated the following year.

The church was constructed from unseasoned timber felled on the property and specially for the project. The beams and purlins, the significant feature of the church, being blue gum, while silky oak, black bean and cedar were used on the interior.

The weatherboards were originally oiled, but were later painted and the shingle roof was replaced with concrete tiles in 1964.

You do not have to enter the church grounds to access the cache, but visitors are welcome and if you have the time take the opportunity to have a closer at this superb historical building.

Feel free to post any pictures you might take of your visit.
